2020 Fitwel
As part of QuadReal's commitment to wellness in the workplace, Commerce Place has completed benchmarking on the way towards Fitwel certification from the Center for Active Design (CfAD). Fitwel is a building rating system that provides guidelines on how to design and operate healthier buildings. The West Tower participated in a QuadReal corporate pilot initiative and is one of the first buildings to be certified in Canada. QuadReal is also part of the Fitwel Advisory Council.
2019 LEED Platinum re-certification for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance
Commerce Place has achieved ‘LEED PLATINUM – EB’ status for its 2019 re-certification.
2013 LEED Gold certification for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance
Commerce Place has achieved ‘LEED GOLD – EB’ status, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings. The designation recognizes actions taken to promote sustainability and environmental stewardship with their tenants and operation practices. Learn more here.
